Candy Crush Saga is a matching puzzle game with never ending possibilities. The board comes in various shapes, while the candies come in many colors. You have normal colored candies like blue, purple, green and orange. Harder levels will have additional red colored candy in the mix. Aside from puzzles, there are also events you can participate in. 

The background music is a country style that is relaxing so you can get into the groove when you are playing Candy Crush Saga. Candy pops, but when you have a cascading effect, the sound effect becomes exciting. Mr. Toffee will say Sweet! You can switch off the music and sound effects in the settings. Candy drops from the top when you pop in the puzzle, the color that drops is random. Dispensers will drop specific candy, and the type of candy will show up top of the dispensing tap. Dispensers can drop normal candies, candy bombs or Swedish Fish, sometimes they drop blockers like licorice swirls or bubblegum pops.

Every level has a different objective, and it will show when you first select the level. When you are playing, your order is on the top of the screen. Before each level, you can activate the boosters you have before starting the game. The boosters that you have to select before playing are the color bombs, the striped and wrapped candy, coconut wheel, jellyfish, or the lucky candy. 

Boosters and Blockers 

Boosters are an extra help for you to complete an order before your move runs out. For example, if you have a jelly level, having a jelly eating Swedish Fish will help you meet your target faster. Each Swedish fish will break into 3 to eat one jelly each, although they will eat other candy too. Boosters are hard to come by, so it is better to save them up for harder nightmare levels. 

The blockers make the level harder by stopping you from fulfilling the orders. Blockers such as licorice swirls, spawners, frostings require a few matches to get rid of. In Candy Crush Saga, chocolate spawners are your worst nightmare because they will spawn chocolate and cover up candy. 

Things like magic mixer and bubblegum pop are either part of your order, or a blocker. They can be both because they take multiple tries to get rid of. Magic mixers are tricky: on some levels they create the items that you need, so you cannot get rid of them until you fulfill the order; but too slow and they will flood the board with unwanted blockers.

Candy Crush Saga is a simple game to understand, but every level has its own challenge. Your primary aim is to collect the orders, but the game gives you distractions to stop you from completing it. The amount of moves you have is above the order, and you have to finish it before it runs out. You can buy more moves using gold bars if you are almost done.

Your other alternative is to use the in- game boosters at the bottom of the puzzle board. Use the hand to swap between 2 candies without losing a move. Smash a candy away using the lollipop hammer, which is good against mixers, chocolates and licorice swirls. The UFIO will turn 3 random candies into wrapped ones that explode after. Paint 3 candies into stripes- when you activate it, you can pick a direction of the explosion before painting 3 candies. To clear the board, activate the Party Booster! 

At higher levels, parts of the puzzle may be locked. Some levels are unlocked using keys, while others require you to fulfill extra orders before unlocking. Since there is no time limit to complete each level, the first thing you should do is to check the aim of the level. After that, look for drop zones for fruits and nuts, locations of locked candies, mixers, or spawners. Then, notice how the candy flows when you crush it, so you can use it to your advantage.
