Stay alive and be the last one or team standing in Fortnite.With 100 other players, you throw yourself out of a plane. Fly quickly towards the spot that you picked, ideally somewhere with cover. The view is amazing as you propel your way towards land. Move closer towards your mark by navigating in the air. Don’t worry if you miss it, as long as you remember to launch your parachute, you can still make your way there.

Your aim in the game is to be alive when the time runs out, but you cannot hide in one spot and wait it out. While the game gives you a pickaxe to start, you can quickly pick up better weapons like a gun to take out enemies as they land. Using your trusty pickaxe, you will realize that a lot of things can be destroyed and you can collect the raw materials. 

You can hold a maximum of 5 item slots in the game, making it hard for you to decide what to keep and throw. It is best to keep the harvesting tool you arrived in. Harvesting tool like pickaxe and  because it can break rocks and doors for you to build a secret hiding spot. You can hack rocks and things to get wood, stone and metal. 

But watch out! There’s a storm on the horizon. Every few minutes, the area shrinks as the storm closes in. Stay within the eye of the storm and you will be fine. The smaller the area, the more chances that someone will see you and attack. You can hide and kill enemies as they walk past, or you can rush in and shoot everyone out. 

Winning the round will earn you V-bucks, which is the currency in Fortnite. You can buy Battle Passes or things to dress up your character. Gold bars are for weapons or consumables like bandages or shield potion. In the Save The World section, you have to use X-Ray Tickets to buy the X-Ray Llamas in the Llama Shop. The Llama Pinatas give you special items that are rare. To get these X-Ray Tickets, you do daily quests and missions in the game. 

Once you land, quickly make your way to a chest or a safe spot to get your bearings. When you start playing the game, it can be scary trying to learn the controls and understanding how everything works. Learn how to build bunkers and bridges so you can make your way around safely. Fortnite is a game you play with headphones on, because that helps you pinpoint footsteps and noises in the game. 

All guns have different ammunition, and they are important because no gun can shoot without it. Light bullet ammo are common in the game for you to pick up, but they do not deal a lot of damage to the enemy. Most people love to use sniper rifles in Fortnite: they are lethal with the heavy bullet, and you can hide in high places.

With the simple goal of being the last one standing, it is quite hard when there are 99 other people wanting to be that person. If you have a team of friends, being the last team standing requires teamwork and good communication. If you are alone, try not to run around bushes and grass. In the desert map, running will kick up dust that your hidden enemy can see a mile away. 

While it is a beautiful land with colorful grass and home, do not stop and smell the flowers, or a sniper will take you out before you can build a hiding place. Be silent like the predator stalking its prey, as long as you are far away from the storm. Avoid open spaces as you may be a sitting duck. High walls and towers are good places to sit and wait for enemies to walk past, but do not get too comfortable as the area narrows with each minute. 

Do not hoard health and shield potions, because you only have 5 item slots and staying alive is more important. You can raid other dead players for their stash after you down them, before that, make sure you are safe before rewarding yourself. Also remember that people can destroy your cover, but you do not have to hide in it- a decoy can easily show where your enemies are.
